Key features of the 7075 cap

This 7075 alloy shock cap upgrades front or rear dampers on compatible TRAXXAS vehicles, replacing the original cap with a tougher 7075 aluminium body and a sealed top to reduce leakage paths. The unit is intended to maintain spring preload stability during hard use.

As an L-shape piggy-back design it includes a built-in piston spring to influence rebound characteristics without internal piston swaps. Adjustments are made with the red set screw on the negative pressure cylinder, allowing fine control of rebound firmness on non-oil-filled shock setups.

Fitting is suitable for experienced hobbyists and technicians accustomed to stock dampers, and the part is compatible with original and GPM shock bodies where noted. It is aimed at reducing friction chatter and stabilizing pressure behavior through compression and rebound cycles.

Sold as an aftermarket suspension cap for the listed TRAXXAS platforms, this 7075 alloy cap is designed to offer hobbyists a stronger, tunable alternative to factory shock caps.

The 7075 aluminium construction increases resistance to deformation and wear, which helps maintain function over prolonged high-load running compared with softer materials.
The red screw is designed for periodic tuning; use correct drivers and avoid excessive force to prevent thread wear, and inspect seals after heavy sessions.
As with any exposed piggy-back unit, keep the top area clean and inspect seals regularly. Proper sealing and maintenance will prevent contamination-related wear.
This cap is specified for non-oil-filled setups and does not alter oil viscosity needs; when used with oil-filled conversions, consult shock manufacturers for recommendations.
Replacement seals and service parts are recommended for maintenance; if seals show wear, replace them to preserve damping consistency and prevent leaks.
