Aluminium spur interface with hardened gears

This replacement set swaps the stock spur interface on TRAXXAS CRANIAC Monster Truck drivetrains for an aluminium adapter paired with a 58T steel spur and 13T steel pinion, supplied as a single kit. Designed for 1:10 scale RC use, the components mate to the original gearbox and motor pinion without altering chassis geometry.

Fitment is straightforward for those used to drivetrain work: remove the existing spur assembly, align and fit the aluminium adapter to the spur shaft, secure the 58T spur to the adapter and attach the 13T pinion to the motor shaft while checking mesh. Adjust motor position or add shims to dial in correct clearance and avoid binding.

Functionally the aluminium adapter reduces flex at the spur mounting while the steel gears offer better wear resistance than stock plastic or softer metal gears. Remember that changing tooth counts will affect gearing, so perform short test runs and keep an eye on gearbox temperature after installation.
