Steel Spider Gear Upgrade for E-REVO

This steel spider gear set replaces stock alloy or plastic spiders in TRAXXAS E-REVO type 1/10 4WD differentials. Supplied as part ER1200S/G2, the hardened steel components are chosen to better resist wear during aggressive driving and higher power applications.

Installation follows normal diff service steps: remove the diff cover, take out the carrier, exchange the spider gears, check engagement and rotation, then reassemble with the preferred diff oil. No specialised tools are included; standard hobby tools suffice.

These gears are targeted at longevity and consistent drivetrain behaviour under load. They do not dramatically alter handling but help the diff hold up when running stronger motors, steeper pinion gearing, or rough surfaces.

Most installations are a direct swap. Inspect shaft diameters and carrier fit; replace any worn bearings or pins if required for correct alignment.

How do steel spiders hold up in wet or salty conditions?

Hardened steel is more wear resistant but still needs cleaning and corrosion care after wet runs to preserve life and prevent pitting.
