Finned alloy motor mount for passive cooling

This aluminium motor mount is an aftermarket replacement for TRAXXAS E-REVO VXL setups. It uses a 6061 T6 alloy body with expanded heat-sink fins to encourage heat transfer away from the motor while maintaining a rigid mounting point under load. The intent is improved stability and passive cooling rather than active temperature control.

Installation and fit are straightforward: the mount secures the motor to the chassis and the finned face increases exposed area for heat shedding. The stronger alloy resists bending seen in thin stamped mounts, which helps keep the motor aligned and reduces the chance of altered gear mesh during heavy use.

For tuning work this should be treated as a rigidity and passive cooling improvement. It does not replace fans or dedicated electronic coolers. Swapping the mount will usually require basic hex tools to transfer the motor and fasten the supplied hardware.
