Low-profile aluminium shocks tuned for GT4

This 16-piece oil-filled shock set is an upgrade made for the TRAXXAS 4WD GT4 TEC 2.0 layout and carries the model number GT5053FR. It focuses on lowering roll centre and increasing chassis rigidity while remaining straightforward to service and adjust for both circuit and street-style touring use.

Bodies are machined from 6061 T6 aluminium to resist flex, combined with a denser damping fluid to sharpen rebound behaviour. Springs are specified with thicker coil wire to reduce deformation during spirited driving, and the reinforced shafts cut the chance of bending under load. The front dampers are 53mm and the rear are 50mm, trimming overall length compared with older 55mm designs to drop the centre of gravity.

Installation is conventional for oil-filled shocks: they attach to standard shock towers and lower mounts on GT4-type chassis using the included fittings. The kit also includes small alloy collars for the upper mounting hole so you can alter shock angle and body rake without affecting spring preload, useful for quick handling tweaks.
