Aluminium retention plate built for HOSS 4X4 VXL use

This replacement battery hold-down swaps out the stock retaining hardware to help lock battery packs in place on TRAXXAS HOSS 4X4 VXL models. Constructed from aluminium 6061 T6, the top plate and stabilizer are shaped to reduce unwanted movement during aggressive driving while increasing thermal contact area.

The kit ships with the main hold-down plate and a stabilizer that rests over the battery, plus a stainless M3 top threaded screw for securing the assembly. The plate's patterned surface encourages airflow along the pack and the stabilizer limits sideways shift during landings and tight turns. Note that this part improves mechanical retention and passive cooling but does not alter electrical connections or chassis layout.

Installation is straightforward for a competent hobbyist: remove the factory strap or clip, place the aluminium plate over the battery, align to the original mounting point and fasten with the supplied M3 screw. Use common hex drivers and check the screw engagement to avoid damaging threads.
