This #45 hardened steel motor gear is made as a drop-in replacement pinion for TRAXXAS MAXX Monster Truck drivetrains and is supplied as a pair. It couples to the motor shaft and transfers torque into the drivetrain, so ensure correct mesh and firm fixing for dependable operation.

The kit contains the pinion and a compatible set screw for shaft retention. Replace the original when it shows signs of wear or to restore smooth engagement between motor pinion and spur gear. The hardened steel material is chosen for wear resistance and consistent running in typical RC conditions.
