Tunable CVD shafts for MAXX monster trucks

This 10 piece drive shaft kit is an aftermarket upgrade intended for TRAXXAS MAXX Monster Truck platforms, usable at either front or rear drive and for the wheel attachment points. The CVD replaces a cross-head joint to deliver smoother torque transfer under load while keeping inertial mass low.

The assembly uses hardened steel joints combined with a 6061-T6 aluminium body and an enlarged axle section increased from 6mm to 8mm to improve torsional stiffness without adding excess weight. The hex adapter has a new claw engagement and lacks a pinhole, creating a firmer interface with the wheel hex and widening the track by 2mm per side.

Adjustability allows installers to refine driveline alignment and suspension geometry. Bearings and shims for the thicker axle are included so no additional bearing sourcing should be required for typical MAXX conversions.

Can these shafts be fitted to earlier MAXX generations?

They are designed for TRAXXAS MAXX layouts, but variations exist between model years. Check spline count, wheel hex profile and mounting dimensions before fitting to an older chassis.

Does the kit include all fasteners required?
