Aluminium rear carrier overview

This aluminium rear stub axle carrier set is a scale replacement intended for use on TRAXXAS MAXX vehicles. The components are machined from 7075-T6 aluminium to hold alignment of the CVD drive shaft and to support the wheel bearing under typical off-road loads.

The carriers install into the factory rear knuckle area and act as a fixed interface for the CVD and bearing, reducing lateral movement versus original plastic parts. Fitting normally involves removing the stock carriers, installing the aluminium units, and verifying bearing seating and CVD engagement as you reassemble.

Packing includes

Original Name / Part No:

8952

For hobbyists wanting a firmer rear end, these aluminium carriers provide a direct-fit upgrade that eases bearing inspection and improves alignment without changing the underlying geometry.

Yes. They are made to fit the same mounting points and accept the same size bearings used in the factory rear carrier position on the listed models.
No modifications are expected. Ensure the CVD seats fully and rotates freely through suspension travel after installation.
They preserve the original knuckle geometry, so wider wheels should mount as before. Verify clearance and wheel alignment after fitting wider tyres or rims.
Seat the bearing fully in the carrier, assemble the hub hardware, then spin and rock the wheel to confirm there is no lateral play while maintaining smooth rotation.
