Machined 25T servo horn and tie rod built for TRAXXAS MAXX

This upgrade replaces the factory plastic horn and linkage around the servo on TRAXXAS MAXX 1/10 models, delivering a firmer steering connection that helps keep wheel alignment consistent during aggressive running or trail work.

Key components are manufactured from 6061 T6 aluminium and the kit ships with stainless steel screws to minimise corrosion. The parts are intended for the original 25T servo spline and are sized for the steering rod and servo mounting area on the stated chassis.

Installation guidance: remove the OEM horn and tie rod, carry over any spacers or small parts needed, then attach the aluminium horn and rod with the supplied fasteners. Check spline alignment, steering arc and tightness before first run. This is a mechanical tuning component rather than an electronics change.

Is threadlocker recommended on the stainless screws?

A small amount of medium-strength threadlocker is optional for high-vibration use, but do not use excessive product and ensure you can still remove screws for future adjustments.

Will these parts change steering geometry?

No major geometry changes are expected if the tie rod length and servo horn position are kept the same. Verify steering throw after installation and fine tune rod length if needed.

How should I care for the aluminium parts?

Rinse off grit after muddy runs, dry thoroughly and inspect fasteners. Light lubrication on moving pivots helps prevent wear of mating surfaces.
