This 44-piece upgrade swaps the stock dampers for shorter aluminum-bodied shocks intended to lower the centre of gravity and sharpen handling on TRAXXAS platforms. The kit is supplied with front and rear units, a selection of spring lengths and collars, plus the screws and washers required to adjust ride height without chassis cutting.
Stiffness is adjusted via the top spring retainer or by changing springs. Two spring wire sizes are supplied: gold 2.6mm for a firmer feel and silver 2.2mm for a softer setup; these let you tune for better stability at higher speeds on smooth tracks. Measured assembled lengths are front 75mm and rear 80mm, which reduce ride height and can result in a body clearance near 6mm in some setups.
On Slash bodies the lower stance may bring the shell close to the tyres; the kit includes multiple aluminum collars to space the body posts from the shock mounts and recover clearance. Experiment with collar thickness to set shock angle and clearance: example settings are front 8mm/rear 12mm for taller mounts and front 12mm/rear 16mm for the lowest stance.

For tuners wanting a lower centre of gravity and firmer spring options on Rustler or Slash builds, this aluminum shock kit supplies the necessary parts and collars to adjust ride height and shock angle while keeping scale proportions.
