Matched assembled front and rear diffs

The SLA1337FR set supplies matched front and rear differentials built as a direct-replacement upgrade for TRAXXAS 4X4 platforms. Supplied fully assembled, the units use spiral-cut internal gearing with CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminium cases and medium carbon 4140 steel gears to handle typical hobby loads.

Installation is a bolt-in conversion for the TRAXXAS 1/10 and 1/8 4WD models listed below, removing the need to mesh gears or build cases on the bench. Differential fluid is not included and must be added during install to achieve the slipper and limited-slip behaviour you want.

Fit the SLA1337FR set to refresh worn differentials or to standardise your TRAXXAS 4X4 fleet, then experiment with diff oil and lash to dial in traction and slip for your preferred surface.

Do I need special tools to install these diffs?

Basic hand tools are sufficient for the bolt-in swap, though a torque driver and diff oil syringe speed up the job and help get consistent results.

Can these handle brushless power on 3S setups?

The 7075-T6 cases and 4140 gears are selected for high-load use; they are suitable for aggressive hobby brushless setups within normal drivetrain limits.

Are the diffs rebuildable?

Yes, internals can be serviced or replaced. Keep spare gaskets and the correct diff oil on hand for rebuilds.

Will I need new shims or spacers?

Most installs are bolt-in with original spacers, but check gear lash and shim if you notice noise or excess play after fitting.
