Adjustable front damper overview

The SLA087F is supplied as a 1pr alloy front adjustable spring damper for TRAXXAS SLASH 4X4 chassis. It swaps in for standard front shocks with a CNC-style alloy body plus alloy ball top and ball ends, and comes with 1.3mm, 1.5mm and 1.7mm coil springs and a stout 4mm shaft to suit firmer setups.

On track it acts as a durable replacement and a simple tuning tool, letting you change initial spring rate and preload without replacing the shock body. The included ball fittings fit typical Slash 4X4 linkages and the range of spring wires helps tailor front bite across different terrain.

Installation is identical to other threaded-body dampers on short-course trucks: remove the stock front units, move lower caps if required, fit the 4mm shaft into the lower eye and secure the ball ends to the suspension links. Verify travel and clearances before final assembly.
