Overview of rear shock rebuild

The rebuild kit fits TRAXXAS 1/10 Slash 4x4 rear shocks and is supplied as a single set labelled SLA102R/KIT. It is intended as an RC service package to restore rear shock function and support consistent on-track behaviour.

Purpose and use: this kit replaces worn internal components inside the shock body so you can reassemble and re-tune damping and ride feel. Fit it when damping is inconsistent, seals show oil seepage, or during planned servicing to maintain balance and traction.

Fitting guidance: carefully dismantle the rear shock and keep parts ordered, check the condition of shock shafts and mounting hardware, fit the replacement parts from the kit, and rebuild while confirming smooth piston travel and correct damping response. The product is for 1/10 scale Slash 4x4 applications only.

This set is made for the rear shocks used on the TRAXXAS 1/10 Slash 4x4 and is supplied as SLA102R/KIT.
Have basic shock tools to hand: small spanners, hex drivers, a clean bench, and shock oil for refilling. Work on a clean surface to avoid contaminating seals.
After rebuilding, check ride height, rebound travel and compression feel, then make small damping adjustments while testing on your usual surface.
