This hardened steel 9T pinion is supplied as a replacement for TRAXXAS TRX4 vehicles and is identified by model TRX4009T. Constructed from steel #45, it is intended to handle the slow speed torque demands of crawler drivetrains.
The component presses onto the motor shaft and drives the transmission train; it is matched to 32 pitch spur gears with about 0.8mm tooth spacing and fits motors with a 3.175mm centre bore when a 9T ratio is desired for climbing and technical rock work.
Fitting is simple for routine pinion swaps: secure the pinion with the included 3*3 screw shaft, then check mesh and spool smoothness. Using a smaller tooth count like 9T increases torque at the wheels, ideal for technical crawling rather than top speed runs.
