This aluminium base protector is an RC-scale part tailored for the TRAXXAS TRX4 trail crawler. It mounts to the underside of both front and rear gearboxes to limit wear and blunt damage from gravel, stones and beach sand encountered while crawling.

Constructed from lightweight aluminium, the plate provides a shield without penalising vehicle balance. The slim profile of the design keeps ride height and suspension movement largely unchanged while diverting repeated contact away from exposed gearbox surfaces.

Fitting is simple for a competent hobby mechanic: position the plate against the gearbox lower surface and secure using the underside mounting points. It is a protection-focused upgrade so you can leave performance tuning to springs and tyres while reducing gearbox repair risk during heavy trail use.
