Pendulum axle weights tuned for TRX4 crawling

This RC upgrade delivers pendulum-style wheel knuckle weights and a 9mm hex adapter specifically for the TRAXXAS TRX4 chassis. It is built to put extra downward load at the wheel ends to enhance tyre contact and crawling control on technical, slow-speed trails.

Each pendulum uses stainless steel rolling beads so added mass sits low and creates a steady downward bias. The overall effect is more mass at the wheel perimeter, which helps the tyre bite when the truck leans or when a wheel drops into a rut.

The kit is constructed from brass pendulum housings with stainless steel beads and fasteners. Beads are removable for stepwise weight adjustment. Installation is focused on the outer shell of front and rear knuckles, giving extra load at the wheel without altering steering geometry or suspension travel.

How granular is the weight adjustment?

Each bead adds roughly 4g and the kit supplies five removable beads per pendulum, allowing small incremental changes to wheel-end mass for tuning traction vs responsiveness.

Are the screws and beads suitable for wet runs?

The beads and the supplied fasteners are stainless steel which helps prevent corrosion in normal outdoor use; regular cleaning after muddy runs is still recommended.

Will adding pendulum weight affect steering?

The units add mass outboard at the wheel but are designed to mount on the knuckle outer case so core steering and suspension geometry remain unchanged.
