This 18-piece brass outer portal housing set is made for TRX4-style portal hubs and is intended to change wheel-end mass for better grip on uneven trails. The housings are a drop-in style for compatible portal assemblies and fasten using the included stainless steel cap head screws.
Material and role: brass adds unsprung weight at the wheel end when compared to stock alloy or plastic housings, a modification often used to increase slow-speed traction and aid recovery from digs in trail conditions. Any wheel weight figures provided with the product should be confirmed on your scales as part of setup checks.
Fit and installation: outer diameter is 43mm, and the housings require a wheel inner bore greater than 43.5mm to fit without interference. Verify wheel bore and hub stack clearance before fitting, and ensure screw lengths and thread engagement are suitable for your axle configuration.
