Sold as a pair, this RC portal drive output spindle gear is designed for use with the TRAXXAS TRX4 Trail Crawler. The 23-tooth configuration aligns with common pinion and spur combinations and transmits rotation through the portal assembly to the wheels for improved crawling control.
The gear is produced in hardened steel #45 and treated via a nutrified hardening process to raise wear resistance during frequent slow-speed, high-torque operation. The spindle gear profile is shaped to reduce backlash and trim the gear gap so torque moves through the portal outputs with less slop.
When fitting this part to a TRX4, check the portal housing fit and confirm proper tooth mesh. Careful shim selection and correct fastening of the output spindle will help keep the minimized gap and prevent premature tooth wear.
Engineered as an aftermarket hop-up, the spindle helps tighten gear engagement and improve torque fidelity in TRX4 portal drives for technical rock and trail work.
