A widened replacement tyre set made for slow, technical crawling on 1/18 TRX4M-compatible rigs. The design pairs a butyl rubber tread with selectable foam inserts and an internal reinforcement ring to strengthen sidewall support and extend service life for regular trail running.
Manufacturer details include a tyre dimension of 60mm x 25mm, an 80-degree hard sponge pre-installed inside the tyre skin, and supplied 60-degree softened sponges for tuning ride compliance. The tread uses a super-soft 25-degree rubber compound that the maker rates at roughly 35% more grip compared with plastic tyres in their data.
Fitment: these tyres are made for 1-inch wheels; on some 1/24 scale cars such as SCX24 you will need to fit a 1-inch wheel set before installation. The clamping profile has an extended tongue and longer fixing screw positions to make mounting easier and help keep the wheel secure under clamp.
Setup notes: the included firmer insert and softer sponges let you balance sidewall support and conformity. Choose the 80-degree insert for firmer sidewalls or swap to the 60-degree sponge when you need the tyre to wrap and bite on rough terrain. The reinforced ring and butyl compound reduce slippage in wet conditions and lower the chance of tears versus some softer plastic mixes.
