This RC-scale steering blocks set is finished in black and uses brass as the working material for Traxxas 1/18 TRX4M platforms. The JR-TRX4M01-BK parts replace the standard front steering blocks on TRX4M Bronco and TRX-4M Defender 1/18 models and are intended for hobbyist scale trail crawler applications.
Using brass changes the front axle characteristics by adding mass and creating a metal-to-metal contact surface where the stock plastic components normally operate. In real use this improves pivot wear resistance and modifies steering feedback, which can assist enthusiasts when refining front-end balance and steering effort for scale trails.
For experienced builders installation is simple: the blocks are engineered as direct-fit replacements for the listed 1/18 TRX4M Bronco and TRX-4M Defender steering knuckles and normally reuse factory screws and hardware. After installation, check the steering geometry, wheel alignment and that pivot joints operate without binding.
Tuning advice: brass increases rotating and unsprung mass at the front, so expect slightly heavier steering feel and a different recovery behaviour on uneven ground. Incorporate tyre selection, suspension preload and servo endpoint adjustments to harmonize handling with the new front-end mass.
