This two-piece set of aluminium front internal shocks is built for the TRAXXAS UNLIMITED DESERT RACER platform and supplied as a 2pcs set. They serve as aftermarket suspension upgrades to tighten damping response and increase robustness without changing factory mounting points.

Just received Avery well packed and vey shiny box of GPM parts... all look great... only one negative... and probably on my part... the discs and calipers come in sets of 4... not 4 discs or 4 calipers.. oh well another order to follow... great service th

Are any special tools needed to service these shocks?

Basic shock service tools are sufficient; you will need shock pliers and a small bleed tool. The sealed design reduces ongoing maintenance but standard service is recommended after heavy use.

Will the thicker shaft change handling dramatically?

A 5mm shaft reduces flex, giving firmer damping feel. Handling becomes more predictable under hard braking and big jumps, but you may need to soften springs or lower oil weight to regain desired compliance.
