139mm L-shape Aluminium Shock Set

This L-shape rear spring damper set is designed as an aftermarket hop-up for the TRAXXAS UNLIMITED DESERT RACER to help refine rear-end behaviour on loose and rough surfaces. The matched pair lowers internal friction and helps the model track more predictably over ruts and jumps.

Hardware improvements over typical stock units are targeted at reliability and consistent damping: the coil spring wire is increased to 2.0mm to give a firmer feel while still allowing original springs for a softer tune, and the damper shaft has been enlarged to 5.0mm to reduce the chance of bending during heavy impacts. The aluminium damper body and a sealed spring retainer reduce fluid loss, and the L-shape piggy-back reservoir boosts oil volume for more even damping through long strokes.

Fitment note: this set replaces the rear shocks and requires removing the existing rear shock mounts. Use common shock tools such as a hex driver. It is best suited to hobbyists focused on tuning spring rates and damping for handling longevity rather than purely cosmetic changes.
