Rear Internal Shock Set, 160mm

A scale rear internal shock kit built for the TRAXXAS UNLIMITED DESERT RACER platform and supplied as the rear pair. This set replaces stock internal shock parts to provide steadier damping and longer service intervals under typical desert-style running.

The design uses 6061 T6 aluminium with precision sealing to reduce oil leakage while keeping the assembly light. Shocks come filled with a higher viscosity oil for increased damping control and the shaft diameter is upgraded from 3.5mm to 5mm to reduce bending when driven hard.

Fitment is a direct swap for the rear internal shock assemblies on the listed chassis; re-use standard shock mounting hardware and check shaft alignment when refitting. For setup, try different oil weights and spring preload to tune rebound and compression for your track.

Just received Avery well packed and vey shiny box of GPM parts... all look great... only one negative... and probably on my part... the discs and calipers come in sets of 4... not 4 discs or 4 calipers.. oh well another order to follow... great service th

Will these fit my existing rear mounts?

They are intended as a direct replacement for the rear internal shock assemblies and use the vehicle's standard mounting hardware.

Do the shocks leak oil easily?

Precision seals are fitted to minimise oil loss, but regular inspection and correct assembly help maintain a leak-free setup.

What spring and oil changes are recommended?

Start with medium viscosity oil and stock springs, then increase oil weight or spring preload if you need firmer compression and reduced bottoming.
