Centre skid plate

This aftermarket skid plate is tailored for the TRAXXAS Unlimited Desert Racer 1:7 platform and is laser-cut from 1mm 304 stainless steel. It covers the central underside to limit abrasion to the chassis and battery cover when running on beach sand, shingle or rough tracks.

Installation requires removing the original battery cover fasteners, setting the plate into position over the centre chassis and securing it with the supplied flat head screws. A strip of double-sided tape is included around the battery cover to help hold the plate while you fit the screws; for best bonding ensure the surface is clean and dry and warm the tape with a hair dryer before application.

The metallic surface provides a neat undercarriage finish while keeping added mass low thanks to the thin 1mm material. The part is intended as a sacrificial wear surface and mounting face rather than as a structural reinforcement, offering improved durability for off-road driving.

Fit using the supplied screws and tape, confirm alignment before final tightening, and routinely check fasteners and adhesive after driving in sandy or abrasive conditions.
