Rear shaft upgrade for TRAXXAS off-road use

This rear drive shaft set is designed for the TRAXXAS UNLIMITED DESERT RACER platform and carries the model number UDR237S. It replaces the centre-to-rear drivetrain link and routes power from the centre gearbox to the rear differential with improved joint durability.

The assembly uses stainless steel 304 for the axle joint components to resist corrosion, with aluminium sections in the shaft to keep weight down while maintaining rigidity. The shaft profile is slightly thicker than the original design to better withstand desert and rough-surface stresses. Silicon O-rings are fitted at the joint to reduce direct metal contact and to help absorb shocks to the CVD on landings.

Installation guidance: supplied as a direct replacement, the set includes the required screws. Verify CVD spline engagement, confirm driveline alignment, ensure O-ring seating, and check that the shaft clears suspension travel to prevent binding. Inspect joints and O-rings after heavy runs.
