Good material quality vs stock. But I think the ring gear needs to be designed better! As the meshing is too loose. The ring gear needs to be a bit thicker like the stock one to move the teeth closer to the pinion. Shimming the pinion helps a little bit.

Can I use these gears with aftermarket diffs?

They are compatible with many aftermarket diff setups that follow X-MAXX gearcase dimensions, but verify shaft and bearing sizes before swapping components.
