Stainless steering link and spring for X-MAXX

The GPM TXM024ASN is a stainless steel servo tie rod assembly offered as an aftermarket upgrade for TRAXXAS X-MAXX rigs, designed to be used with the #2085x metal-gear servo family. The assembly uses a durable steel linkage and a stronger servo saver spring to minimise slack between the servo output and the steering linkage, improving steering consistency on big-scale monster trucks.

Installation note: designed specifically for metal-gear servos in the #2085x series and not suitable for conventional plastic-gear servos. Confirm the servo horn fit and linkage geometry before final assembly, and check that the screw lengths provided suit your servo horn pattern.

Tuning role: install this tie rod and spring when you need firmer centring and more predictable steering return on high-torque setups; pairing with a suitable metal-gear servo will help control wheel angle under heavy load.

When paired with a suitable #2085x metal-gear servo, the steel link and firmer spring help manage higher torque loads common with 8S systems, but verify overall drivetrain and servo specs for your setup.
Yes. Swapping to a lighter servo saver spring or adjusting linkage geometry will soften feedback, but that may increase play compared with the stock heavier spring supplied in this kit.
