50-tooth straight-cut spur for XO-1 performance

This straight-cut, Module 1.0 50-tooth steel spur is designed for installation on TRAXXAS XO-1 chassis and is supplied as one unit. The component uses hardened steel, a black finish and a laser-etched tooth count to make identification straightforward when swapping gears.

As a direct replacement for the stock large spur, it defines the main drive ratio and provides consistent engagement suitable for high-speed on-road use. Pair with the correct M1.0 pinion, check mesh and backlash carefully, and ensure the gearbox bearings are in good condition to support long service life.

Intended strictly for model RC use on the XO-1 platform, this gear is not meant for real vehicle applications.

No special bearings are required if your gearbox is standard, but inspect bearings for wear and replace if they allow excessive play before installing the hardened spur.
Straight-cut steel gears can be louder than softer materials, and because steel is harder they can accelerate wear on any weak bearings or misaligned shafts if mesh is incorrect.
Use an M1.0 pinion that matches your desired final ratio and verify tooth engagement visually before final assembly; avoid excessive compression of the gear mesh.
Run the model at low speed for a few minutes, then inspect teeth and recheck backlash and bearing temperatures to ensure proper seating and no rubbing.
