XO-1 Aftermarket Aluminium Sub-chassis

This 5mm aluminium sub-chassis is an aftermarket upgrade compatible with TRAXXAS XO-1 models, preserving the OEM mounting pattern while replacing the original plate to alter chassis stiffness and weight spread.

Supplied as a single pcs set, it is intended for hobby-level tuning and setup work. The heavier, stiffer plate helps reduce chassis flex and can change handling balance under braking and through corners without modifying electronics or the drivetrain.

Installation advice: use the XO-1 mounting holes and common button head screws supplied or already on the car, and tighten to standard hobby torque values. After installation confirm there is sufficient clearance around the motor and suspension arms through full travel.

Does this change require new motor mounts or gear spacing?

No changes to motor mounts or gear mesh are normally required; however check clearances after fitting to ensure no contact at full suspension travel.

Will the extra mass from the plate slow acceleration?

The plate adds mass low on the chassis which can slightly affect acceleration but often improves stability; judge tradeoffs during setup sessions.

Can I use existing screws from my XO-1?

If the original screws are in good condition and match the supplied sizes they can be reused, otherwise use the supplied stainless button head screws.

Is corrosion protection recommended?

Aluminium resists rust but consider anodising or a clear coat if you run in wet or coastal conditions to maintain appearance and longevity.
