XO-1 rear axle kit

This rear axle assembly is intended for the TRAXXAS XO-1 chassis and handles the rear wheel power transfer duties. It combines a hardened #45 steel axle section with a 6061 T6 aluminium outer body to provide a balance of strength and reduced weight for improved handling.

The axle connects using a CVD-style interface to promote steady rotation under load and features a retractable-style configuration to give extra clearance for the rocker and suspension movement. It is suitable as an upgrade when increased axle stiffness and an alloy housing are preferred for tuning or longevity.

Small assembly hardware is included so the unit can be installed without sourcing extra pins or fittings: CVD components and the necessary fasteners come with the set to simplify replacement.

Love the shafts nice and beefy compared to stock and look great but needs to have a better design to keep the pins in other than the flimsy spring like Guards to keep them in my pins keep popping and sliding out from the high torque and speed.

Do I need any special tools to fit this axle?

Basic RC tools are sufficient: hex drivers, threadlocker for metal fasteners if desired, and a torque driver to set fastener tension are recommended for a clean installation.

Will the CVD joints handle high power setups?

The CVD-style connection is designed for smooth torque transfer; inspect joints and replace worn components if you run high-power motors to avoid premature wear.

How many pieces are in the kit?

The set totals six pieces and includes the axle components, two CVDs and the small fasteners and seals needed for assembly.
