Just finished building a 4-tec 2.0 with GPM parts. SOOO beautiful. After having a bad experience building a wltoys this summer it was nice to once again do another build using GPM parts. The website is nothing to brag about but, the parts are top quality.

Can I run this on salt air tracks?

Steel gears can be used near coastal locations but should be rinsed and dried after exposure to salt, and lightly oiled to prevent corrosion.

Is installation difficult?

Installation follows standard spur mounting on the XO-1. Ensure correct backlash and secure fasteners; the laser-etched tooth number makes matching easier.

Does the finish affect wear?

The black finish is cosmetic and protective; performance depends mainly on the hardened steel material and correct gear mesh.
