Replacement shock shaft cores for XRT 8S

This shaft core set is made as an RC replacement for the TRAXXAS XRT 8S and fits GPM shock assemblies. Shafts use 4140 medium carbon steel with selected 7075 aluminium pieces, and the diameter is upsized from 5.0mm to 7.0mm to lower flex and maintain compatibility with standard shock bodies.

Suitable for both front and rear dampers, the kit is compatible with GPM and factory shock absorbers for the referenced model. The unit uses an oil seal in place of an O-ring to promote smoother piston travel and better control of oil retention during use.

Before final assembly, verify piston and seal clearance, ensure the shaft runs smoothly inside your shock body, and match oil viscosity and valving to your setup. The modification targets improved shaft straightness and toughness rather than changing damping profiles.
