This Trumpeter 1/35 kit recreates the PT-76, a lightweight Soviet amphibious tank, giving modellers a hands-on build that emphasises the vehicle's waterborne role. It provides realistic detail for historical model displays.
The PT-76 served with a 76mm gun and was built to cross rivers and lakes, prioritising mobility over heavy protection. The model text reflects those design trade-offs and the vehicle's operational use during the Cold War era.
The kit includes 176 plastic pieces and two photo-etched frets to boost surface detail. Builders will assemble separate hull halves, tracks and small fittings, which benefit from patience and precise gluing. The finished model measures 224mm long, 90mm wide and 67.7mm tall.
When completed, the PT-76 suits dioramas or standalone shelves, particularly alongside similar era vehicles. The green camouflage decals help recreate authentic Russian markings for accurate presentation.
