01520 - German 3.7cm Flak 43 Flakpanzer IV Ostwind - Trumpeter 1/35  [TP01520]

The stwind was certainly days gone by of some Flakpanzers (anti-aircraft tanks) based on the Panzer IV framework to enter production, albeit in little numbers. The stwind carried one 3.7cm FlaK43 gun, which definitely better compared to the less efficient 2cm weapons the irbelwind, and needed less area in turret, including just requiring a crew of two (gunner and loader) as opposed to the gunner and two loaders of quadruple weapons. Like irbelwind the stwind had a great angular turret, now six sided, along with the weapon growing from a slot in pointed front side by using this turret. After studies in July, on 18 August 1944 Ostbau got a contract to create 100 stwind Is. Under 1 / 2 of the cars is produced the initial fifteen of ultimate total of forty-three had been completed in December 1944, far too late to obtain any influence regarding the war.
