The Su-15, commonly referred to by NATO as the "Flagon", was developed in the 1950s and remained active into the early 1990s. Known for its high-speed interception capability, often above Mach 2.4, the design features mid-mounted delta wings and twin turbojets that supported its air defence missions.
The Trumpeter 1:72 rendition of the Su-15 Flagon-A includes 100 plastic components designed to capture the aircrafts characteristic lines, including the rounded nose and bubble canopy. Finished dimensions are 320.24mm in length and 118.73mm in wingspan, making it a faithful miniature suitable for display cabinets and group layouts.
Built to reflect its operational history, the model complements collections that trace Cold War aviation. Accurate finishing and choice of markings will enhance the aircrafts presence when exhibited with contemporaries.
