The Vickers Wellington is noted for its geodetic framework and dependable service in early wartime operations. This twin-engine medium bomber is captured in miniature by the Trumpeter 1/72 WELLINGTON Mk.X kit, which provides finely moulded parts that appeal to scale builders and aviation followers.
Entering service from 1937, the Wellington supported numerous bombing missions and underlined the importance of medium bombers at the time. The Mk.X introduced a light alloy fuselage, improving structural attributes, and Wellingtons continued to fill roles up to the early 1950s.
The kit comprises 214 plastic parts on 11 sprues, resulting in a model 188 mm long with a 229 mm wingspan. Builders can choose the optional position flaps for display variety. Although photo-etched or resin extras are not included, the plastic parts provide solid detail and accurate fit for a satisfying build.
When completed, the WELLINGTON Mk.X adds genuine period character to any display. Its scale accuracy and surface detail make it suitable for dioramas or standalone presentation in a modeller's collection.
