The Beriev Be-6 "Madge" served as a versatile twin-engine flying boat during the 1950s, performing long-range reconnaissance, coastal patrol and torpedo attack roles. A total of 123 airframes were produced and the type remained in service into the late 1960s.
The Trumpeter 1/72 Be-6 kit captures the aircraft's distinctive gull-wing layout and bulky hull shape. With over 240 parts, the set provides engraved panel lines and a detailed cockpit, aimed at experienced builders seeking a high level of realism. The assembled model measures 355.6mm in length with a 458.5mm wingspan.
Completed, this Be-6 model is both an attractive display piece and an educational example of Cold War maritime aviation. It pairs well with similar era kits for thematic displays.
