The Flak 37 was a widely used WWII anti-aircraft mount, effective against low altitude attackers and often fielded in groups of nine to twelve guns. It saw service on land and at sea, being installed on trains, ships, submarines and fortified towers, with over 4,211 units active by August 1944.
This Trumpeter 1/35 reproduction records the real weapon's proportions, producing a model 159 mm long by 76.8 mm wide. Builders will assemble 133 plastic pieces arranged over five sprues, making for a satisfying intermediate-scale build.
The kit includes two photo-etched parts to capture fine elements of the Flak 37. It contains only plastic components and does not include any metal or resin upgrade parts, so modders can add aftermarket items if desired.
