The MiG-3 served as an important Soviet fighter in World War II, evolving from the MiG-1 to deliver better performance. Orders for production began in December 1940 and initial units reached the front in April 1941. Engine shortages ended production by late 1941, but over 3,120 machines were built during its run.
This 1:48 scale Trumpeter MiG-3 Early Version captures the aircraft's profile with precision moulding. The kit offers a rewarding build for modellers who appreciate accurate shapes and period-correct detailing.
The real MiG-3 measured 10.20 m across the wings and 8.26 m long, and could reach about 640 km/h at 7,800 m altitude. The scale rendition mirrors those proportions to give a faithful small-scale representation of the fighter.
