This 1/35 scale Trumpeter kit of the German NBFZ (Type I) captures the early experimental stages of German tank design. The Neubaufahrzeug effort began in 1933 and was masked as the "Grobtraktor" due to treaty restrictions. The model recreates the complex multi-turret concepts produced by Rheinmetall and Krupp.
The Neubaufahrzeug, translated as "new construction vehicle", represented a stepping stone in German armored development despite political constraints. The kit highlights the primary 75 mm KwK L/24 and secondary 37 mm KwK L/45 armament that defined its historical configuration.
Targeted at hobbyists comfortable with detailed assemblies, this Trumpeter release includes over 1170 parts, two photo-etched frets and a metal gun barrel for realism. Precision-molded multi-slide components make for accurate hull and turret shapes when assembled correctly.
