The Trumpeter 05751 kit recreates the French battleship Richelieu as refitted in 1946, giving modellers a chance to render its wartime evolution. The ship served in early wartime engagements and later integrated with Allied forces during the conflict.
The Richelieu fought at Dakar before switching sides in 1942 and undergoing significant upgrades in 1943 at Brooklyn. That refit improved radar capability and swapped older AA guns for Bofors and Oerlikons. In 1944 she supported operations in northern waters and was later active in the Far East.
Offered in 1:700 scale, this kit includes options for waterline or full hull presentation. The 370 plastic pieces create a model with fine superstructure and deck detail, finishing at 355.5 mm long and 48.5 mm across for a compact but striking display.
