Overview of the Trumpeter 06241 F2F in 1:350

This kit recreates the F2F carrier fighter at 1:350 scale, presented as a small shipboard aircraft ideal for collection or compact diorama use.

The F2F label identifies an early United States Navy carrier fighter from the interwar period. Aircraft of this era influenced how carriers and aircrews adapted biplanes and early monoplanes for shipboard operations and training.

The set reproduces the subject with a minimal footprint for limited display areas. Included are 72 plastic parts on six sprues and a decal sheet bearing US NAVY markings. Model and box dimensions are listed for display or storage planning. Assembly and painting follow standard procedures for small-scale aviation kits.

A compact 1:350 interpretation of the F2F carrier fighter, offering clear reference dimensions and a manageable parts count for builders and display collectors.

Use a fine liquid plastic cement for small joins and thin enamel or acrylic paints thinned for small-scale application. Test on spare sprue sections to confirm flow and adhesion.
Start by removing and cleaning parts from sprues, subassemble major components, then fit smaller detail parts. Leave decals and final weathering until after sealing with a clear coat.
Soak decals briefly, slide them onto a glossy surface to remove excess water, and apply with a soft brush. Use decal setting solution for conforming to curved surfaces when needed.
Keep unopened kits in a dry, cool place to protect decals and box integrity. For finished models, display cases reduce dust and UV exposure which can fade painted finishes.
