This kit presents the Japanese Type 90 main battle tank in 1:72 scale as a static plastic assembly intended for military model collections and reference display.
The Type 90 project began from development work started in 1974 under the provisional code TK-X. Prototype testing and limited pre-production took place through the 1980s, with the design settled by 1990 and subsequent entry into service representing post-Cold War development.
The injection-moulded kit assembles at 1:72 scale and features 149 plastic components across nine sprues. Major hull and turret geometry are provided along with separate smaller fittings. The box includes decal options for two unit choices as listed in the specifications.
Due to its scale this kit is best used for static displays or compact dioramas. The published model dimensions allow for cabinet or shelf presentation. For enhanced surface fidelity, aftermarket photo-etch or resin items may be added depending on modeller preference.
A compact 1:72 Type 90 kit offering a tidy parts count and two unit marking options for collectors and small-scale modellers.
