The KV-1 M1942 stands out for its heavy protective plating, an important milestone in Soviet tank evolution during the Second World War. Trumpeter's 07233 kit captures the profile and silhouette of the vehicle at 1:72 scale, suitable for shelf displays and small diorama scenes.
Known for very thick armour, the KV-1 could reach weights near 47 tons, which stressed the original powertrain and lowered mobility. Top speed was approximately 28 km/h under these constraints. The lightweight cast turret was introduced to streamline production and is recognisable by a pronounced cast ring at the rear machine gun position.
This kit contains 94 plastic parts on seven sprues, offering modellers clear assembly sequences and small details to refine. The finished model packs historical charm into a small footprint, pairing well with other WWII armoured subjects.
