The STRV.103 B, nicknamed the "S-Tank", emerged in the 1960s as a non-turreted Swedish tank destroyer. Its unusual layout focused on low profile and firepower. Between 1970 and 1984 the B variant received REMO modernisations including a laser rangefinder, a revised diesel engine and added defensive equipment.
This Trumpeter release recreates the STRV.103 B form and historical context so modellers can appreciate its tactical role. With about 300 examples produced historically, the vehicle stood out for accuracy and operational flexibility relative to contemporaries such as the M60A1E3.
At 1:72 scale the kit is compact but detailed, suitable for modellers with basic kit-building skills. The set contains 63 grey plastic parts that assemble into a faithful miniature. Finished measurements are 120.7mm long, 48.5mm wide and 31.6mm tall, making it suitable for diorama scenes or a display cabinet.
