The King Tiger, Pz.kpfw VI Tiger II Ausf. B, is famous for heavy frontal armor paired with a long 88mm gun. The Trumpeter 07292 release translates those elements into a tidy 1:72 model that suits collectors and diorama makers who prefer smaller scales.
Introduced as an evolution of the Tiger I after 1943, the King Tiger combined heavier protection with powerful firepower. This 1:72 kit faithfully suggests those proportions, giving a recognisable miniature with emphasis on silhouette and surface patterns.
The set contains 105 plastic pieces on eight sprues, which allows for realistic assembly stages. Finished dimensions are 143mm long, 53.7mm wide and 43.6mm high, and the moulded Zimmerit texture adds authentic surface detail for weathering and paint techniques.
