Included are two steel drive shafts designed as a straightforward metal swap for the original plastic shafts on Tamiya DT02, DT03, and TT02B drive layouts. These shafts suit scale electric on-road and touring cars where improved component longevity and less deformation under load are desired.
Note the fitment limit: use only with the Tamiya plastic cup joint; these shafts will not work with Tamiya 53790. When fitting, check that the cup fully engages, confirm drivetrain alignment and clearance from gearbox and bearings, and rotate the assembly to ensure smooth operation before finalising. As a tuning item they help keep spur and pinion mesh more stable compared to standard plastic components.
