This aluminum steering linkage is made for the Axial Yeti chassis and carries the model number YT-25005-BK. It replaces the factory plastic tie rods to reduce flex and provide a firmer connection between servo output and steering knuckles for demanding trail use.
Fitting is familiar to anyone who has worked on Yeti steering assemblies: remove the original tie rods, reuse or replace rod ends as needed, and fasten using the stock hardware. A drop of threadlocker on metal-to-metal fasteners is advised, and confirm toe settings before final tightening. Re-check fastener security after an initial run to allow components to seat.
From a maintenance perspective, aluminum parts are less prone to deformation than plastic, but rod ends and pivot points should be inspected regularly. Clean grit and mud from joints after wet runs and ensure alignment is maintained to avoid uneven wear on steering components.
