Third member — strength and material notes

This replacement third member is produced from 7075-T6 aluminium and CNC machined to serve the H10 OPTIC front axle assembly. It is designed to supersede the original VPS08606 component and shifts an oversized outer bearing outward to bolster support where the driveshaft exits the axle housing while retaining the original inner bearing locations.

The unit is supplied complete with the fasteners and bearings listed below. Select items may arrive pre-assembled to reduce bench work during a front-end refresh. During fitting, use medium-strength threadlocker on screws to help prevent loosening under common RC suspension and drivetrain stresses.

The larger outer bearing size is intended for heavier-duty tuning on 1/10 front driveshafts, giving a larger contact diameter without modifying inner bearing positions. This piece is for hobby RC chassis maintenance and tuning only, not for full-size applications.

Install this third member in place of the factory unit on supported H10 OPTIC kits to recover alignment and gain the increased outer bearing support desired for upgraded front-end builds.

The bigger outer bearing increases contact area at the driveshaft exit, which helps distribute loads from heavier tuning parts and reduces localized stress on the outer bearing seat.
The component receives CNC finishing to achieve consistent dimensions and a smooth surface; no additional coatings are specified in the packing information.
Periodically inspect bearing seating and fastener torque, and look for signs of unusual wear after aggressive tuning or hard impacts to maintain reliable operation.
Using a larger outer bearing improves support but can shift load patterns; check adjacent components for compatibility and monitor wear if you run more demanding setups.
